Trump threatens to impose tariffs on Canadian cars

Direct US President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on car imports from Canada after reaching a new trade agreement with Mexico.
The US president told a news conference on the sidelines of a meeting with his Mexican counterpart on Monday that trade negotiations with Canada would either lead to tariffs or an "agreed deal".
"The easiest thing to do is to impose tariffs on Canadian cars," he said, in response to Canada's recent tariffs on US dairy products.
Trump added that his country was resuming talks with Canada if the latter wanted to negotiate a fair picture, adding that he would demand Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "very soon" to conduct negotiations on trade.
The US president has announced a new deal with Mexico after he referred to the abolition of the name "NAFTA".
