    The Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced the issuance of the Council of Ministers' Resolution No. (336) of 2018 to approve the recommendations of the preliminary meeting of the Iraqi Economic Development Conference.
    "The Council of Ministers, upon the proposal of the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Engineer Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, the recommendations should be included in the recommendations of canceling Resolution 492 for the purpose of allowing the boards of directors of public companies to exercise their functions," said Abdulwahid Alwan Al-Shammari, And its powers under the law of public companies, "noting that" decided at its regular session thirty-third, held on the twenty-eighth of last August, the adoption of the recommendations of the first preparatory meeting of the Iraqi Economic Development Conference held in Baghdad on 28/7/2018. "
    He pointed out that "the aforementioned decision and within the axis of partnership with the private sector included the approval of the abolition of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (492) for 2013, provided that the procedures for the conclusion of contracts of participation to provide an economic feasibility study and integrated technical prepared by the owners of experience and competence and presented to the Board of Directors of the company for approval.
    The statement pointed to "the importance and impact of the abolition of resolution (492) for the year 2013 to activate contracts of partnership with the private sector and attract Iraqi investors, Arabs and foreigners, as this decision was a major obstacle because of the conditions and determinants contained therein," pointing out that "the ministry had many meetings and deliberations and talks With departments and ministries and stakeholders to diagnose and overcome the obstacles that block the private sector and investors. "
    He stressed that "the ministry is moving towards partnership and investment with the private sector hard and able and its efforts to attract and attract companies and businessmen and investors by helping them in the rehabilitation and operation of laboratories and development of companies and technology transfer and exchange of experiences and add new production lines and diversification of local production.
