Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Thursday that there is a goal behind the first meeting of the Council outside the Green Zone.
"If there is security and beauty in the Green Zone, this must be in all areas of the country," Abdul Mahdi said at his first weekly conference after taking office.
"We seek to narrow the gap between the legislative and executive authorities to shorten a lot of time in the implementation of projects," he said, noting that "we put forward a review of the rules of procedure of the Council of Ministers, and we will try to add important issues to him in the way decisions are taken."
