Abdul Mahdi: Electricity production will reach 18 thousand MW

Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi announced that the production of electricity will reach more than eighteen thousand megawatts, revealing at the same time, the provision of funds to achieve this increase with the opening of ten stations during the next phase.
"All of us as officials in the federal government and the provinces are partners in the success and achievement, and there is no substitute for cooperation and coordination to achieve the best and overcome all the problems and challenges," Abdul Mahdi said in a statement read by "Economy News" during his chairmanship of the second meeting of the Supreme Coordinating Committee for Inter-Provincial Coordination.
He called on the Prime Minister to "cooperate to solve the overlapping problems and continue with plans that stimulate the economy and achieve the public interest and work to give priority in providing electricity to citizens and poor areas," revealing his "continuous follow-up of energy and through the Ministerial Energy Committee and identify preparations and urging an increase in Production ".
"The level of energy production will reach more than eighteen thousand megawatts and we have provided the necessary funds to achieve an increase in energy and there are ten stations will be opened in the next phase and the conclusion of new development contracts and if combined all efforts will be the situation next summer better than before "He said.
During the meeting, they discussed plans for development, stability and development of service projects and agricultural plans in the governorates, and discussed many issues and proposals related to the distribution of electric power, road and bridge services, levies and fees, appointments of directorates of education and lecturers, opening of border posts and the allocation of provinces from the federal budget in light of the general census And made the necessary recommendations and decisions.
