BAGHDAD / Iraqi artists' captain Jabbar Jodi on Saturday denied that the statement was signed by artists, media and opinion makers to appeal to the House of Representatives and Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to stop the legal violations in the Iraqi media network and freeze the work of the Board of Trustees. Do not want to immerse in what he called the conflict of institutions.
Jody said in a statement that the Syndicate of Iraqi artists "is astonished by its arrogance and its captain, Dr. Jabbar Jodi and Vice-President Ms. Asia Kamal," in a statement on the Iraqi media network.
"The syndicate expresses its contempt for the non-professional approach to the publication and its inclusion of names that it claimed to have signed the statement without the publisher assigning himself the effort to take the approval of individuals and institutions."
He added: "We deny our signature on this statement and denounce the involvement of the union in the conflict of institutions and we emphasize that we stand one distance from all and respect for the privacy of all institutions and departments."
The statement, signed by dozens of artists, writers and intellectuals, called on the House of Representatives to hold an emergency session and put their demand in Saturday's session to discuss the following matters:
First: The formation of a higher committee of the Council of Representatives whose tasks will be to investigate the facts in the network and to supervise the opening of the candidature for membership of the new board of trustees whose functions are to elect a permanent head of the network according to its law No. 26.
Second: Freezing the work of the current board of trustees and canceling its temporary decision recently until its members are presented to the House of Representatives to vote because they are illegal and have been exempted earlier by the former and current prime minister at the request of the former parliament / culture and media committee.
Third: Hosting the interim board of trustees and the head of the network in a public session to listen to their statements and identify the points of imbalance and difference between them and to hold those who fail to establish a new mechanism for institutional action in our new Iraq to prevent the politics of conspiracies and revenge between the parties. Finished
