A member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Jumaili unit on Friday that the current government headed by Adel Abdul Mahdi, "proved its failure in the management of the state and the completion of the cabinet cabal and must resign."

"More than a year has passed since the government was chosen and the cabinet portfolio is still incomplete," Jumaili said in a statement to the news agency. "This is evidence that Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi is weak in his administration of the state and not a decision-maker and can not complete his cabinet."

"This is due to some of the Shiite forces that control the government, which differ among themselves to complete the rest of the portfolios, headed by the portfolio of the Interior, which is subject to deals and benefits party away from the interests of Iraq and its people," according to the claim.

"Abdul Mahdi must either fill his post and be a decision-maker in completing his government away from party affiliations and pressures, or submit his resignation to a person who is more efficient than himself to run the government strongly and not subject to partisan pressure," Jumaily said.

It is noteworthy that political parties have reported in the past few days there is movement to form an opposition bloc aimed at overthrowing the Iraqi government headed by Adel Abdul Mahdi.
