The Parliamentary Services Committee on Sunday welcomed the decision of the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption to refer the Internet smuggling file to the competent authorities.
"We welcome the decision of the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption to refer the file of Internet smuggling to the competent national agencies as the national security adviser to eliminate this bleeding, which has been going on for years," member of the committee Burhan al-Maamouri said in a statement received by Mawazine News.
He added that "the problem of poor Internet service in Iraq and the need to develop the necessary solutions as soon as is one of the most important files that will work on the Committee of Labor and Parliamentary Services in the next phase."
He pointed out that "the need to involve the competent technical bodies such as the Information and Communications Authority and the Ministry of Communications to investigate this important file because they are from the competent sectoral bodies, which has been announced several times revealed to previous smuggling cases."
