(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Agriculture Minister Saleh al-Hassani on Tuesday asked those who talked about burnt farmland and its reasons to provide evidence, while stressing that the ministry will not remain silent about it.
"The ministry is in the process of drawing up a full study to compensate those affected by those fires," Hassani said in a statement received by the Euphrates News, "noting that" the ministry continues to communicate with farmers and farmers and provide the necessary support for them.
"The planting of 12 million dunums of strategic crops will not be affected by the scorched areas and will not be an obstacle to the high production rates, which have achieved a huge increase of up to 100%, where some media have been surprised by that important achievement."

Hassani said that "high-level committees have been formed and headed personally to follow up the issue of fires and other sub-committees in the provinces, to encircle these cases, which occurred for various reasons, including accidental and deliberate for some weak souls and others because of negligence."
