The Security and Defense Committee in the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, the reasons for the presence of a large number of factions of the crowd at the border of Syria.
"There are good reasons for the presence of so many armed factions on the border with Syria," said committee member Abbas Sarrout.
He added, "The Iraqi border is long and open with the Syrian side, and the Iraqi military sectors do not have enough capacity to control all these borders, which may contain infiltration ports for ISIS gangs."
He pointed out, "Some Iraqi factions within the Popular Mobilization had withdrawn after the liberation of Nineveh and Salah al-Din to the border, to secure and fill the deficit in the number of Iraqi forces."
Sarrout said that "the presence of armed factions on the border is a temporary necessity, until secured by cameras and sophisticated devices."
