Al-Fateh MP Ahmed al-Kanani said on Tuesday that changing the electoral commission will change the date of holding provincial council elections, pointing out that the continuation of the current situation leads to postponing the date of holding local elections.
Kanani said in a statement to the information, that "the House of Representatives must proceed to change the election law in addition to changing the Electoral Commission."
He added that "the speaker of parliament and a number of blocs pushing for the passage of some laws, and in the case of the coming of a commission and a new law for elections, there is a possibility to go in another direction that limits the current popular movement."
He explained that "the continuation of the situation on what will lead to change the date of the elections, especially as there is a lack of confidence between the political class and the public," pointing out that "changing the Electoral Commission will also lead to change the date of the elections of provincial councils." Finished 25 N
