Allawi calls Saleh to a mini government .. The President of the Republic asks about the largest bloc after the end of the mandate period!

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, through an official letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, requested that he be informed of the largest number of parliamentary blocs registered in the first session of the Council after the deadline for assigning the Prime Minister.
The parliament had announced early December this year its approval of the resignation of Abdul-Mahdi, while Article 81 of the Constitution states that the President of the Republic has 15 days to assign another prime minister.
The constitutional deadline for appointing a new prime minister was supposed to end yesterday, but a legal dispute has been raised over the issue that may keep the nomination options open for the end of this week.
A document (Al-Mada) revealed a copy of it, that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih Talib, through an official letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, informing him of the largest number of parliamentary blocs registered in the first session of the Council during his first session in this session.
In turn, the President of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, sent a message to the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, on Sunday, in which he indicated that the next government must be "mini and temporary" and its ceiling does not exceed one year and is not nominated for elections.
Allawi said in his message that "the next government should be a mini government and a provisional ceiling of not more than one year and not nominate for elections, preparing for fair and transparent elections with a new election law."
Allawi called for "speeding up a solution to the current crisis." Allawi presented "four proposals that would find appropriate solutions to get out of the current crisis and bring the conditions to the desired stability situation, when a permanent government takes over the outputs of the economy and increases job opportunities and completes the referral of spoilers and those involved in the killing of peaceful Iraqis to justice in public trials."
In turn, the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, called yesterday, Sunday, to adhere to constitutional times to resolve the candidacy of the Prime Minister. Al-Maliki's office said in a statement that (Al-Mada) received a copy of it, that the latter "received at his office the French ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Oper, and during the meeting they discussed the developments of the political and security situation in the country, and the future of bilateral relations between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples."
Al-Maliki stressed, according to the statement, that "France has had a supportive position for Iraq in its war against terrorism, and we look forward to increasing this role during the next stage to include all fields."
He pointed out, "The necessity to adhere to the constitutional timing to resolve the candidacy of the Prime Minister, and the need to choose a person who is able to overcome challenges and meet the demands of the Iraqi citizen."
In turn, Ambassador Uber, according to the statement, expressed his country's "full support for Iraq, its stability and the preservation of its territorial and people unity."
