The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan holds a conference on Saturday to choose a new Secretary-General for him as an alternative to the late Jalal Talabani.
A source in the federation told Mawazine News that "the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is holding, today, its fourth conference to elect a new leadership body and a new general secretary to succeed the late Jalal Talabani."
The source added, "The conference is being held today in the city of Sulaimaniya, and expectations indicate the election of a leadership body consisting of 5 people."
He pointed out, "The President of the Republic Barham Salih and the candidate for a leadership position in the commission apologized for not attending due to the crisis of choosing the candidate for the presidency of the Iraqi government." Ended 29 / A 43
