Baghdad / ... Member of the Parliamentary Committee, Bahar Mahmoud, confirmed today, Sunday, the existence of "an impermissible order" in the election law that was voted upon by the parliament last week.

Mahmoud said, in a statement received by "Eye of Iraq News", that voting on the election law without adding the schedule for the distribution of seats to electoral districts is not permissible, indicating that it challenges this measure because in this way it will not be part of the law.

Mahmoud explained that the schedule for determining and allocating seats to electoral districts should be completed before voting on the election law, so that it is part of the law and obligated to implement it.

She added: At the present time, the entire law was voted on without a vote on the schedule, despite the mandate of the Legal Committee to organize it, and this is not permissible, noting that even if Parliament endorses this schedule, it will not be part of the election law and may make it subject to manipulation of the number of seats between the districts.

And the Iraqi parliament voted on December 24 this year, on the law of elections for the parliament in general, which adopts multiple electoral districts, amid a boycott by the Kurdish forces. End 2
