Parliamentary Legal: Sending a budget to Parliament is a legal disaster that cannot be accepted

Member of the Parliamentary Law Committee, Hussein Al-Oqabi, affirmed on Tuesday that it is not possible to send the caretaker government a draft budget law to parliament, stating that allowing the budget to be sent is a legal disaster.
Al-Aqabi said in a statement to "Information" that "the government is currently in the period of conducting business and it cannot be allowed to send the budget or to confirm appointments and conclude contracts."
He added, "Allowing the resigned government to present the budget to Parliament is a legal disaster, as it will lead to granting broad powers to any future resigned government other than the constitution."
Al-Oqabi explained that "the budget is a government approach and program for a full year and the next government should adopt the budget in order to put the money in its proper position and invest it appropriately."
