    Shafaq News / Militants of Daash have controlled Tal Afar city , which is a major city of the Turkmen Shiites in Nineveh province, after strong fighting.

    “The city of Tal Afar has fell by elements of Daash after a battle that has witnessed many casualties on both sides,” According to local residents to “Shafaq News”.

    However, Iraqi security sources said that the militants were able to control some areas, and that the heavy bombardment has been experienced by the city

    Local officials said that the exodus witnessed by the district towards Sinjar town, which is controlled by Peshmerga

    There were conflicting reports on the operational commander of Nineveh known as Abu al-Walid as he is leading the fighting in Tal Afar as some said that he has been captured by insurgents and others said that he moved  to another place
