Trump: We will ensure that the oil industry remains in good shape

(International: Al Furat News) US President Donald Trump said that he informed the heads of American oil companies that their country will buy the oil they produce for the strategic oil reserves.
Trump stressed that he will work to ensure that the oil industry in his country remains in good condition.
The US president met earlier Friday, with executives from the major oil companies.
Commenting on the situation in the oil market, Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman "want something to happen."
"We will work to solve this issue and put our energy companies' businesses back in place," he added during a meeting with managers of American energy companies.
Trump had previously expressed his hope that Russia and Saudi Arabia would reach an agreement to reduce oil production by 10 or 15 million barrels per day, following a sharp drop in oil prices and the shale oil sector in the United States.
In the same context, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed the need to take joint steps to achieve stability in the oil market, expressing his confidence in the importance of reducing production.
