    (Baghdad: Al Furat News), a spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, confirmed on Tuesday that the national youth project will provide a million job opportunities.
     Al-Hindawi said, in a press statement that "the national project to employ youth is the first of its kind and is based on providing soft loans to the owners of these projects from young people."
    He added, "Loans at the level of an individual do not exceed thirty-five million dinars and not less than five million dinars, provided that the number of participants in one project is not less than ten people, and the number of participants in the project is not less than ten people. The loan they will obtain will not be less than 350." One million dinars and not more than 500 million dinars. "

    He pointed out that "the provinces that have completed the procedures are (Najaf, Baghdad, Diwaniyah, Nineveh, Basra and Anbar), because the project enjoys great support from the House of Representatives and international organizations, particularly the United Nations for Agriculture and Nutrition (FAO), and there are many ideas that were presented; so we expect that The project during the first two years will provide 800 thousand job opportunities for youth in all governorates, then this percentage will increase successively until it reaches one million job opportunities during the next three years.  
    He explained that "the project will initially be on a participatory basis by the young people presenting the project and those who obtain loans and enter as trainees and then employees, and after that they become owners of the project."
    It is mentioned that the "National Project for Youth Employment" was launched under the supervision of the Ministry of Planning and in cooperation with the Central Bank and a number of private sector banks, and the first contract was signed in Dhi Qar Governorate.
