On Sunday, the Council of Ministers decided to disburse farmers' dues for the 2019-2020 agricultural season.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the Council of Ministers decided, based on what the Minister of Commerce presented, an emergency proposal during the Cabinet meeting at its sixth regular session. Held on 9/2/2021.
The statement added, "An amount of one hundred billion dinars has been disbursed from the balance of the General Company for Grain Trade, and distributed to pay a payment of farmers' dues for the agricultural season (2019-2020), provided that the aforementioned amount is deducted later, upon receiving the amounts dues of farmers from the Ministry of Finance.
