{Baghdad: Al Furat News} On Thursday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intervene to pressure vaccine manufacturers to supply Iraq with the vaccine.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in a statement that the Euphrates News received a copy of it, that "the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, directed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs take over the task of intervening through political and diplomatic channels to pressure the vaccine manufacturers to supply Iraq."
The statement added, "The directive also included taking over the ministry, approaching the United Nations to pressure the World Health Organization to expedite the supply of vaccines to Iraq."
