    Today, Friday, the Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of drugs intended for smuggling in the port of Umm Qasr.


    A statement by the authority received by Alsumaria News stated that "and with joint cooperation and coordination with the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, an attempt to smuggle four containers containing various human medicines was thwarted at the port of Umm Qasr al-Awsat."

    The commission pointed out in its statement to "refer the seizures to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal measures."
