{Politics: Al-Furat News} A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, revealed, on Thursday, the formation of a joint military and technical committee between Baghdad and Washington to implement the outcomes of the third round of the Iraqi-American strategic dialogue.

Al-Sahhaf said, in a press statement, that the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry Nizar Al-Khair Allah and the American ambassador in Baghdad discussed the formation of the Military-Technical Committee between the two sides and the speeding up of holding meetings to implement the outcomes of the third round of the strategic dialogue.
He added that the meeting discussed moving to the new stage of security cooperation, for the purposes of consultation, training, capacity building, and the redeployment of combat forces outside Iraq.
Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed that Iraq was able, during the third round of the strategic dialogue, to take its balanced presence in a multi-domain partnership.
In light of the outcomes of the third round of the strategic dialogue that was launched last Wednesday, between the Republic of Iraq and the United States of America, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces directed the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to form a technical committee headed by the Chief of Staff of the Army to hold technical talks with the American side for the purpose of approving the mechanisms and timings related to the implementation of the outputs Strategic dialogue on the security and military sides.
