Communications: lowering internet prices and improving service quality

The quality of the internet service has fluctuated dramatically for a long time, which causes confusion among citizens of all segments of their reliance on the Internet in their lives mainly, especially students and students, since the emergence of electronic education.
"The company held an expanded meeting with its specialists to discuss the prices and quality of the internet service provided to citizens," said the official of relations and media at the Ministry of Communications and Informatics Company, Enas Chalabi, in a press statement.
She added, "The meeting came in conjunction with the state of recession that the markets are experiencing in general, in addition to the imposition of a partial curfew, which prompted the Ministry to study a price reduction," which is a disclosure of its statement.
In early 2019, the Ministry of Communications announced a reduction in the prices of international Internet capacity by 25 percent for all private sector companies that provide Internet service in the country.
Al-Jalabi mentioned that “the projects implemented by the Public Company for Communications and Informatics are carried out in cooperation with the private sector companies, especially FTTH projects,” stressing the “importance of conducting survey field tours for these inspectors.
It is noteworthy that most of the owners of towers and Internet service providers had jointly raised the monthly price in conjunction with the increase in the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar.
