    {Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Electricity announced that next week, discussions will be held with the Iranian side regarding the stability of supplying gas to Iraqi production stations, due to the expiration of the due season of debts.
    The ministry’s spokesman, Ahmad al-Abadi, said, “The Minister of Electricity, Mohandes, Majid Hantoush, will head next week at the head of a ministerial delegation to the Islamic Republic of Iran to discuss with officials there about cooperation in the fields of electricity and technology. 
    "The Iraqi ministerial delegation in Tehran will discuss with Iranian officials the issue of the stability of Iranian gas supplies supplied to the production stations in Iraq with the approaching summer season, and everyone is notified that the sacrificial file is in Iraq," Al-Abadi said in a press statement. 
    He added that “the Iranian side is currently supplying Iraq with 20 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, and this quantity does not meet the need of Iraq to operate the electrical stations that depend on this gas, whose actual need during the summer season reaches 70 million cubic feet of electricity.” A daily record will also be discussed. ”The file of debts owed to Iran by Iran on Iraq, amounting to 4 billion dollars.
