    {Political: Al Furat News} The Presidency of the House of Representatives held a meeting that included the heads of the parliamentary blocs, to discuss the sustainability of the work of the Council during the coming period.
    A statement by the office of the President of the Council, Muhammad al-Halbawi, a copy of which was received by Al-Furat News Agency, said that "the meeting discussed the importance of legislating some laws and agreements that have reached the voting stage, and activating the council's oversight role, in addition to the need to vote on members of the Federal Court of Cassation during the upcoming sessions." 
    "The meeting discussed forming a committee of experts to select members of the Human Rights Commission," the statement added.
    He pointed out that "during the meeting, it was decided to hold successive sessions this week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays."
