, spokesman for Ibrahim Khalil International Port Complex, Kami Kamal, announced the continuation of movement between the Kurdistan region and Turkey, noting that there was congestion and queues waiting at the port due to the approach of Eid al-Adha.
Kamal said in a statement, "The movement (back and forth) between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey is normal and continuous, but due to the approaching Eid al-Adha and the disruption of official working hours in the Kurdistan Region, a large number of people go to Turkey for tourism, which led to a large overcrowding." .
He pointed out that the capacity of the crossing, as well as the Turkish side, to allow the crossing and entry of tourists is "limited", pointing to coordination between the two parties and an agreement to expand work crews to speed up the crossing process.
He considered the increased demand for travel to Turkey by land these days, "the only reason behind the queues lining up at the port linking the Kurdistan region and Turkey." Ended 29 / h
