The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee revealed, on Tuesday, that there is a proposal to return the Roads Law to the government to make amendments to some of its articles, while confirming its quest to present the law to the House of Representatives during the current parliamentary session.
The head of the committee, Walid Al-Sahlani, said in an interview with the official agency, that "the committee made great efforts to legislate the road law, which made amendments to some of its articles and gave room for investment," noting that "the government's ability to complete roads, especially external roads, needs a long time." direct involvement of the private sector.
Al-Sahlani added that "global and regional experiences confirm its dependence on the private sector in the issue of road construction," explaining that "the parliament presidency did not interact with the road law because of some problems, and there was a proposal to return the law to the government."
