The President of the Republic stressed that the Iraqi-Italian relations are close and important, and they must be strengthened in various fields, and work together to confront various challenges, especially the fight against terrorism and extremist ideology, and to enhance economic and cultural cooperation and environmental work, praising Italy's supportive role in Iraq.
His Excellency said that there is an urgent need to ease regional tensions and support the path of dialogue in resolving existing differences that will positively affect regional security and stability, stressing the importance of Iraq's pivotal role in the region, and the need to ensure its security, stability and sovereignty.[/size]
