{Variety: Al Furat News} The Digital Media Center DMC criticized the Facebook platform's approval of ads for pages that promote witchcraft and market sorcery and the various irrational acts associated with them in Iraq.
The center said in a statement received by {Euphrates News} that it monitored on the two Facebook platforms, and to a lesser extent on Instagram, dozens of advertisements, some of which contain “irrational” clips of people claiming to be a “doctor,” “sheikh,” “spiritual,” or “healer” who are doing work. It transcends the boundaries of science, reason and even religion.
The Center expressed its astonishment at the presence of these pages within the “Facebook” platform, as well as allowing the advertisements funded for these pages, even though they violate Facebook standards that prevent the presence of fraudulent accounts that deceive people.
added center; Facebook contradicts its laws on this subject, as the company emphasizes in its policy standards to prevent the publication of “fraud that occur on the ground or that depend on spirituality or illuminati,” according to the company’s text on its official website regarding the principles of transparency and publishing policies.
The DMC Digital Media Center reiterates its call to the Facebook platform to reconsider its criteria for accepting advertisements in Iraq and the need to subject them to careful examination and proper review before they are approved and their content appears in front of millions of users.
