The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, identified the point of contention between the Sadrist movement and the coordination framework, revealing that he was informed by certain countries that the recent elections were "rigged", and that the number of seats in his coalition is "59".
"Where are the elections that truly represent the will of the people?" Al-Maliki said in a televised interview, which was followed by "Mawazine News", adding, "I was informed by certain countries that the elections were rigged, and you (the rule of law) have 59 seats."
Al-Maliki considered that "the cure on which the country can settle is the majority system," while he pointed out that the point of difference between the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement "is the approach to exclusion, marginalization and cancellation."
