    The economic expert, Manar Al-Obaidi, revealed, on Monday, the value of Iraqi imports from China, during the past five years.
    Al-Obaidi said, in a Facebook post, which was seen by / the information / that “the value of Iraq’s imports from China amounted to more than 10.7 billion US dollars for the year 2021, and thus Iraq has imported from China over the past five years more than 47 billion US dollars, a large part of which My consumption and it was consumed.”
    He added, "The highest imports were for electrical materials and appliances, which amounted to 1.5 billion dollars, followed by furniture, which amounted to 800 million dollars, then plastics, with a value of 571 million dollars, and iron and steel, which amounted to 556 million dollars, and clothes, which amounted to 713 million dollars."
    He pointed out that "there are large imports of many easy things - manufacturing in Iraq, for example, the volume of imports of shoes amounted to 364 million US dollars, and imports of cutlery (spoons, knives, and others) amounted to 152 million US dollars."
    And he added, "The value of paper manufactures imports amounted to more than 108 million US dollars, and the volume of imports of coats and hoods reached 260 million dollars," noting that "Iraq's imports of ceramics and glass amounted to 454 million dollars, while Iraq owns all the raw materials for the production of glass."
    Al-Obaidi asked, “Who is responsible for preventing these simple industries capable of providing thousands of job opportunities for unemployed youth in order to import from China,” noting that “there are industries that do not need much to activate inside Iraq, all we need is a real will that raises this country to the ranks of agricultural countries.” and industrial.” finished/25h
