Today, Tuesday, Iraqi President Barham Salih stressed the importance of facing the challenges of terrorism and the climate, and considered them a challenge facing Iraq.
A presidential statement stated that "Saleh received today the British ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson Richardson, and they discussed the strong joint relations that bring the two countries together, and the need to strengthen them in various fields to meet the common challenges of combating terrorism and fluctuations in economic conditions, in addition to cooperation in the fight against corruption, and work in the field of Protecting the environment and facing the dangers of climate change.
He added, "They also discussed regional and international issues of common interest."
He continued, "The two sides stressed the need to support dialogue and convergence to end crises, ease tensions surrounding the region, and take any step that would enhance regional peace and stability."
The Iraqi president referred to "the necessity of confronting terrorism and the challenges of the climate."
