Today, Tuesday, the security expert, Sabah Al
-Ugaili, expressed his surprise at the caretaker government's "silence" on the statements of former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo regarding the airport crime, which caused a great uproar, calling on the judiciary to intervene and issue arrest warrants against the officers and elements involved.
Al-Akaili said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, "What former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made on one of the Arab channels regarding the assassination of the victory leaders Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani and their companions, caused a wide media uproar and stirred public opinion," expressing his astonishment at the The absolute silence shown by the government and the failure to summon the American ambassador in Baghdad.”
He added, "Pompeo explicitly revealed the involvement of Iraqi intelligence and Kurdish security elements in the crime," noting that "internal and external pressures represented by the American embassy prevent presenting the results of the investigations conducted by the Iraqi security authorities regarding the detection of the parties responsible for the treacherous operation," calling on the judiciary to “Interfere and issue arrest warrants against the officers and elements involved.”
The current government did not issue any comment, clarification, or response to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's statements regarding the assassination of the victory leaders, which sparked widespread controversy at the political and security levels. finished/25pm
