    Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra held working sessions with his Arab counterparts to enhance coordination between delegations for the success of the ministerial preparatory meeting for the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level.



    Yesterday, Saturday, the work of the foreign ministers' preparatory meeting for the Council of the League of Arab States began at the summit level, which will be held on November 1 and 2.
    At the beginning of the meeting at the International Conference Center, Abdellatif Rahhal Center, in Algeria, the rotating presidency of the Arab Summit was handed over to Ramtane Lamamra, from the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Al-Jarandi, whose country chaired the Arab Summit in its last 30th session.
    The Palestinian issue occupies a fundamental and pivotal position in the Algeria summit, which was confirmed by Abdel Hamid Shbira, Algeria’s ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, on Thursday evening, following the meeting of senior officials of the Economic and Social Council, and the conclusion of the work of the meeting of permanent delegates and senior officials to prepare for the meeting of foreign ministers Arab preparatory for the Arab summit.
    The Libyan file is of great importance, and it was included in the draft agenda, which Shbeira said is "very important" and is a priority in the discussion among Arab countries.
    He stressed that "Algeria has a clear vision towards the brothers in this country to get out of the crisis, which was repeatedly announced by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, emphasizing that Algeria is at the same distance with all the parties to the crisis in order to help the Libyans get out of the current situation."
    With regard to the Syrian file, the representative of Algeria clarified that Syria has left the Arab League since 2011 for known circumstances and reasons, and there were consultations before the summit between all Arab countries for its return, but this country “made the decision not to participate in order to avoid, as confirmed by its foreign minister, disagreements.” within the Arab family.
    It is expected that the Algerian delegation will present, at the level of the meeting of foreign ministers and at the summit level, an integrated file on reforming the Arab League, "to advance it and allow it to carry out its tasks in a better and better manner", in an effort to "develop the performance of this body, and search for the best ways to promote Joint Arab action in various fields, by reconsidering many of its methods of work.
    He also attended the file of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in the work of the meeting of senior officials of the Economic and Social Council, based on a report by the State of Egypt, where the "developments that occurred regarding the Renaissance Dam and the surrounding conflicts" were discussed, in addition to other files on which differing views occurred, with consensus on It requires study at a higher level, and it was decided to submit it to the meeting of foreign ministers for consideration and decision before studying it at the summit level.
