    Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Electricity announced the volume of its production, while indicating the payment of all gas debts to the Iranian side.
    The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Moussa, said in a press statement, "The Ministry of Electricity has made a qualitative leap in production, as it reached 24,000 megawatts, but the ministry needs a fuel plan," noting that "Iraq's need for electricity reaches 70 million cubic meters of electricity. Gas".
    He added that "the Ministry of Electricity is heading to diversify energy sources, as contracts were signed for 4 companies to produce 7500 megawatts of solar energy."
    He stressed that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani gives the electricity file a special priority," noting that "Iraq has paid all gas debts to the Iranian side, and there are negotiations with Turkmenistan to import gas."
