Baghdad / Obelisk: The representative of the State of Law Coalition, inside Radhi, confirmed, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, that the federal general budget for the year 2023 will reach the House of Representatives after the legislative parliament recess, indicating that all that is raised about the budget law is just speculation and there are no real numbers. .
Dakhil said, in a statement followed by Al-Obelisk, that "the 2023 budget has not yet received us from the government, despite the extension of the legislative term."
He added, "The House of Representatives will go into its legislative recess, and this is the government's desire to take its time in preparing a budget that meets the aspirations of the Iraqi people."
Dakhil indicated that “it is hoped that the House of Representatives will enter a legislative recess that begins on the ninth of this month for a period of thirty days.”
Parliament will begin its legislative recess on the ninth of this month, according to the constitution, which means that the discussion of the next year’s budget will be delayed for a whole month without the budget reaching Parliament from the government.
