    Today, Tuesday, the Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, directed the formation of an intelligence cell to handle the security file in three governorates.
    The ministry's media office stated in a statement that "Al-Shammari held a meeting today at the headquarters of the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency, in the presence of intelligence directors in Baghdad and the provinces, to discuss a number of important topics and files, foremost of which are the ongoing preparations to take over the security file in the provinces of Diwaniyah, Wasit and Muthanna, and directed the formation of a responsible intelligence cell." Security and intelligence of these provinces and cooperation with other security services in this field.
    He added, "The minister also directed to review plans and follow up on the elements of ISIS terrorist gangs, especially in areas where security breaches occurred during the past days, and work to bring criminals to justice and prompt retribution from them."
    And he continued, "Al-Shammari praised the great efforts made by the Intelligence Agency, calling for additional efforts to be made to enhance security and stability in all regions of the country, and listened to a brief explanation of the most important duties and tasks carried out by the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency and its affiliates."
