    The Iraqi state does not have an accurate number of its employees yet, and estimates have always ranged between 3.5 to 4 million employees, amid the Ministry of Planning's betting on the job number program that will reveal the exact number of employees.
    According to the latest statistics on the number of employees registered on the job number platform, the ministry’s spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said, in a statement followed by (Baghdad Today), that “work on completing the job number platform is continuing until now,” noting that “about 3 million and more have been entered.” From 300,000 job numbers so far.
    On the other hand, the number of new employees who were included in the 2023 budget will reach 426 thousand employees.
    In this context, a member of the Finance Committee, Mueen Al-Kazemi, said, in a press statement followed by (Baghdad Today), that "allocations have been included in the 2023 budget, for more than 250,000 degrees to the Ministry of Education, as well as 74,000 job degrees for seniors and holders of higher degrees."
    He added, "There are 102,000 job degrees in the Ministry of Electricity to convert contract holders into permanent owners," stressing that "the number of employees in state institutions will exceed three and a half million employees." 
    It is clear from the foregoing that the number of new employees will reach 426 thousand employees, in addition to the 3 million and 300 thousand employees registered in the job number platform with the Ministry of Planning so far, indicating that the number of employees counted so far amounts to more than 3 million and 700 thousand employees.
    The Ministry of Planning did not reveal an approximate number of institutions and employees who have not yet been added to the job number platform, or the percentage that has been completed of the number of employees, amid expectations that the total number of employees will reach more than 4 million employees.
