    Shafaq News/ The Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister for Communist Party Affairs, Zhu Rui, announced on Sunday that his country will organize a high-level forum on the "Belt and Silk Road" project, noting that Iraq is one of the first countries in the region to sign this project, while stressing China's keenness On linking the Chinese "dream" with the Iraqi one.



    "We are working to enhance support and exchange views between China, Iraq, the Chinese Communist Party and Iraqi parties, on governance and administration, and we will work with the Chinese embassy in Baghdad to provide more opportunities for Iraqi party cadres and youth to visit China," the Chinese official said in a press conference held in Baghdad, which was attended by Shafaq News agency. To enhance the friendship between the Chinese and Iraqi people."
    He added, "The Chinese Communist Party is keen to work with the Iraqi parties, exchange mechanisms of governance, and link the Chinese and Iraqi dreams together to achieve the nation's renaissance and to make the Chinese-Iraqi friendship the leaves of a palm tree that will remain a civilization forever."
    Zhu Rui pointed out that "the volume of trade exchange between China and Iraq has reached a high level, as well as economic cooperation, investment and free trade have reached record levels and are constantly on the rise."
    He pointed out that "the technical work of the Arab-Chinese summit is good, and the Silk Road initiative, global security and global development put forward by the Chinese president aims to build a bright future for humanity."
    "Iraq is one of the first countries in the region to sign a cooperation agreement with China to build the Belt and Silk Road, and this agreement includes many political, economic, cultural, tourism, media and other fields," the Chinese official said.
    He noted that "this year is the tenth anniversary of the launch of the Belt and Silk Road initiative, and it is expected that a third session and a high-level forum on the Silk Road will be held in China. In addition to the main forum, there are five forums that include politics, economy, infrastructure, finance, culture and communication between peoples."
    However, the Chinese official considered that "it is difficult to overcome the dominance of the Western media, which is trying to distort the Sino-Iraqi agreement, so we have a difficult task ahead of us, and the matter requires joint efforts between China and Iraq."
