Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning announced an increase in the cost of the Nahrawan sewage project, by 23 billion and 863 million dinars.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Abd al-Zahra al-Hindawi, said in a statement: “The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, and according to the powers vested in him, decided to increase the total cost of the Nahrawan sewage project, which is included in the regional development program, in 2021, for the Baghdad governorate, And it's still going on."
He added, "The cost increase amounted to 23 billion and 863 million dinars, bringing the total cost of the project to (284) billion and (364) million dinars."
He pointed out that "the minister authorized the governor of Baghdad, the authority to implement, while adhering to the instructions and powers for the implementation of the investment budget."
