    Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Water Resources announced the success of its campaign to deliver water to the tails of the rivers, while it indicated the quantities of mud deposits raised in the governorates of Maysan, Dhi Qar and Diyala.

    The assistant director of the General Authority for the Maintenance and Operation of the Euphrates Basin in the ministry, Muhannad Abd al-Hadi, said, "The main focus was in the governorates of Dhi Qar, Maysan and Diyala, as the latter suffers from a lack of imports coming from Iran, which greatly affected the provision of drinking water to the districts and districts of the governorate." Diyala,” stressing that “the implementation of purifications gave priority to Diyala Governorate, where the effort was distinguished by the removal of sediment.”

    He pointed out that “the total quantities of sediment removed in the governorates of Maysan, Dhi Qar and Diyala amount to 4,700,000 cubic meters, which were removed from tables She was suffering from water scarcity," indicating that "

    He explained, "The sediment removal operations helped implement the agricultural plan by 100% in the summer and winter seasons, in addition to securing drinking water mainly, and the excesses and lack of water quotas also affected these governorates."

    He pointed out, "The Employment Authority has launched a campaign to raise the excesses and organize water quotas between the governorates, and it had the biggest role in guaranteeing those quotas."

     And he indicated, "The governorates of Dhi Qar and Maysan were the most important governorates that had to focus in the past year, as more than 120 mechanisms were secured in the two governorates, after collecting efforts from several governorates."

    He noted, "The sediment removal process takes place in stages, and if the process is completed, the water will reach the furthest point."
