The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities announced, on Wednesday, the completion of the project to maintain the corridor going to (Hilla - Kish) road, which is the main entrance to Babel Governorate.
The ministry said in a statement that "the project is one of the important road projects linking the central and southern governorates with the governorate and the holy governorates of Karbala and Najaf, and contributes to facilitating the smooth movement of vehicles and reducing traffic accidents."
And she continued, "The project has a length of (14) km, while its cost amounted to (4) billion dinars, as the work in it included scraping the affected areas from the road and coating it with a surface asphalt layer treated with polymer, to give it durability to withstand vehicles with large loads, in addition to cleaning the median carrot." Planning and installing a protective fence (New Jersey) and furnishing the road.
