BAGHDAD / NINA/ President Fuad Masum discussed with the US secretary of State, John Kerry operations against the terrorist organization (IS). A presidential statement cited today that "the meeting which took place at the United Nations headquarters in the presence of Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, Kerry renewed the United States support for the Iraqi government in the fight against terrorism, and support work for reforms that strengthen the unity of Iraqis in the face of the challenges of terrorism. Kerry, during the meeting, which was attended by Deputy US secretary of state, Brett Mkourk and Gen. John Allen pointed "to a widening circle of international understanding in order to support Iraq in the war with terrorism, stressing that more than / 50 / States currently stands with Iraq and in the common effort to fight (IS). In turn, the President, according to the statement praised "The primary and important role of the United States in the military operation against terrorism, praising the position of the Security Council in condemning the terrorists and supporting Iraq as well as the important role of Minister of State Kerry. He stressed that "Iraq is currently witnessing a comprehensive and national in consensus national agreement on the war against the terrorist organization, noting that the government continues to accelerate rates of reforms and the three presidencies agreed to unify positions and efforts that would contribute to strengthening the internal front.
