Today, Sunday (September 24, 2023), Rafidain Bank denied stopping granting dollars to travelers in its branches.
A statement from the bank stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "a number of media outlets and social media platforms reported information indicating that travelers had stopped granting dollars in the Rafidain Bank branches designated for that purpose."
The statement added, "In this regard, the bank denies the veracity of this news and is committed to the instructions of the Central Bank of Iraq regarding determining the dollar share weekly and enhancing the bank's financial balance in the currency, and then distributing it according to the announced schedules to the branches included in the dollar granting process."
He continued, "As a result of the demand and momentum in receiving the dollar, the bank's share is exhausted, and the latter approaches the Central Bank to supply it with dollars, according to the applicable legal contexts."
