BAGHDAD / NINA / Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari received on Wednesday a copy of the credentials of the new American Ambassador Stuart Jones.
The Information Office of al-Jaafari said that the Foreign Minister received in his office in Baghdad today the new American ambassador in Iraq Stuart Jones, and discussed with him, activating the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.
“It added that al-Jaafari, received at the outset of the meeting a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador in Iraq, succeeding former teammate Stephen Beecroft.
The two sides discussed during the meeting the file of bilateral relations and ways of enhancing joint cooperation, and activating the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.
The two sides discussed the issue of relations between Iraq and neighboring countries, and the region in the next stage, and the adoption of the international opening up policy to find an integrative coordination aims to confront the risks that threaten the security and sovereignty of countries in the region
