The Rusafa Center Municipality Directorate, affiliated with the Baghdad Municipality, confirmed on Monday that applying for a building permit will be done through the Ur electronic portal, while indicating that there are efforts to automate real estate transactions, commercial and heritage buildings, and launch a special program for buying and selling residential homes.
The Director-General of the Rusafa Center Municipality, Laith Al-Kaabi, told the official agency and his follower, Al-Maalouma, that “the Rusafa Center Municipality has joint coordination with the National Information Center to create an application for granting building permits electronically through the Ur platform,” indicating that “work has been done to grant the permits.” The electronic application is for residential buildings only, and this application will be developed and updated to include commercial and heritage buildings within the Al-Rusafa Municipality sector.
He added, "Another program will be launched to automate real estate transactions, the sale and purchase of residential homes, commercial and heritage buildings, and everything related to real estate transactions," pointing out that "the program is a series of episodes that simplify procedures and contribute significantly to eliminating corruption and routine in granting... Leave or real estate transactions without the citizen returning to the institution, and submission is made through an electronic application via the computer or mobile phone.”
He pointed out, "The municipality has currently launched the granting of electronic licenses only for residential areas, while other projects will include commercial and heritage areas," explaining, "There will be a project related to real estate transactions and the electronic collection file, which is one of the important files that is tainted by a lot of corruption."
He continued, "If the program is completed and converted into electronic collection, it will be a positive start on the quantitative and qualitative levels and will achieve an increase in revenues in addition to eliminating corruption rings." Ended 25 n
