The Governor of Dhi Qar, Muhammad Hadi Al-Ghazi, announced on Wednesday his approval of the largest plan to expand the city of Nasiriyah on an area of seven thousand dunams to create new residential neighborhoods that include a number of hospitals, schools, and other services.
Al-Ghazi said in a statement from his media office received by Mawazine News, “The approval and approval of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Municipalities has been obtained for the new basic design, which will provide between 25 and 30 thousand residential plots of land served by hospitals, health centers and other public services in addition to rural, industrial and service uses.” ".
He pointed out that "the new expansion will be west of the governorate center towards the highway along the Euphrates River towards the general estuary, with a length of 7 km and a width of 3 km. Work is underway to implement an expansion road linking the highway to the northern gate, as well as including the construction of a railway and commercial streets with a width of 60 m and a map."
