The Nineveh local government announced that next Tuesday will witness the conclusion of the contract for expanding the basic design of the city of Mosul, the center of the governorate, which will add an area of 160 thousand dunams to it.
Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: The contract that will be signed with a specialized international Italian company in preparation for starting to expand the basic design of the city, will add an area of 160 thousand dunams to the city of Mosul, and thus revive the opportunities for advancement and investment that stopped during the past period, due to... The city has not been expanded for more than two decades. He continued that the Al-Ghazlani residential city project is one of five large residential projects that will be implemented in the country, indicating that the central government’s orientation towards new cities represents the ideal solution to end the housing problem in the country, explaining that Al-Ghazlani city will include the establishment of a university, a hospital, and schools, in addition to the construction of 28 thousand units.
