    Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced today, Saturday, that he decided to summon his country's diplomatic representatives from Turkey to re-evaluate relations between the two countries, after statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

    Cohen said in a post on the social networking site “X”: “In view of the dangerous statements issued by Turkey, I have ordered the return of diplomatic representatives from there in order to conduct a re-evaluation of relations between Israel and Turkey.”



    The Turkish President launched a sharp attack on Israel earlier today at a rally in support of the Palestinians in Istanbul.

    Erdogan said that he "will reveal to the world the truth about Israel as a war criminal. He also described the West, which supports Israel, as the main accused in the 'massacre' taking place in Gaza."

    Also earlier today, Erdogan said, "Israel must put an end to the madness and stop its attacks on the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47088/%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9 %D8%BA%D8%B2%D8%A9/ar/]Gaza Strip[/url]."

    Israel launched an expanded ground operation on Friday night, Saturday, after cutting off communications and causing an almost complete blackout of information in the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47088/%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9 %D8%BA%D8%B2%D8%A9/ar/]Gaza Strip[/url], with increased raids and artillery shelling during the night.

    Israel said that "infantry forces and armored vehicles were supported by massive air and sea strikes, including the bombing of Hamas tunnels."

    Explosions resulting from ongoing air strikes lit up the skies of Gaza City for hours after nightfall on Friday, as the Israeli army said it was expanding its ground operations in the Strip, indicating that it was approaching a comprehensive invasion of Gaza aimed at crushing the Hamas movement.

    Meanwhile, the Palestinian telecommunications company Paltel said that the bombing caused a “complete disruption” of internet, mobile and landline services, as the 2.3 million residents of the besieged Strip were largely cut off from the outside world.

    The Palestinian death toll has exceeded 7,300. The Health Ministry in the Hamas-ruled [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47088/%D9%82%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B9 %D8%BA%D8%B2%D8%A9/ar/]Gaza Strip[/url], which is tracking the toll, issued a detailed list including names and ID numbers on Thursday.

    In the occupied [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/47084/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B6%D9%81%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%BA%D8%B1%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]West Bank[/url], more than 110 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli violence and raids since the start of the war three weeks ago.

    While more than 1,400 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas incursion, including at least 310 soldiers, according to the Israeli government. At least 229 hostages were held in Gaza, and four hostages were released earlier.
