    On Wednesday, the Parliamentary Culture and Media Committee discussed the file of candidates for membership in the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network and the organization of powers with the Ministry of Communications.
    The parliamentary media stated in a statement received by Al-Maalouma that “the Parliamentary Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Media Committee discussed the organization of powers between the Ministry of Communications and the Communications and Media Authority based on the decision of the Federal Supreme Court, and prepared a schedule for its visits to the ministries, institutions and unions supervising their performance and hosting their officials successively after the legislative term recess.” ".
    The Chairman (Sen) of the Committee and the members pointed out, during the regular meeting held at the Committee’s headquarters today, “the need for the parties concerned to discuss regulating the policy of broadcast frequencies and mail, between the Media Authority and the Ministry of Communications, and to carefully follow up the performance of the Tourism Authority through well-studied programs and field visits to all its facilities.” 
    The committee also discussed “the necessity of developing the Assyrian Citadel archaeological site in the city of Shirqat and the achievements achieved therein through the geological survey and the restoration of its gate by the Shalmu organization and the efforts of specialized experts from Australia, the file of candidates to occupy the membership of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network, the draft law on the Cinema Support Fund, and the position of the concerned authorities.” It was passed, and the necessary decisions were taken regarding it.” Ended/25 hours
