    Representative Waad Al-Qaddo confirmed today, Monday (January 1, 2024), that the escalation against American bases in the region will not end until they leave Iraq.
    Al-Qaddo said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that, “With the anniversary of the assassination of Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani, who represent the school of resistance in Iraq and the region, the factions took it upon themselves to expel the American occupier from the country by all available means.”
    He added, "The escalation against the American bases will not end unless the occupying forces are removed, and this is something that cannot be reversed according to our readings of the current situation," pointing out that "the escalation has entered a new phase, and this is explained by the increase in the number of attacks in the last week by a rate exceeding 60% over the previous period." .
    Al-Qaddo pointed out that "Washington's support for the genocide in Gaza has aroused the feelings of hundreds of millions around the world and will prompt the emergence of resistance forces not only in the Middle East, but also in other regions that will witness the targeting of America's interests, which have been practicing aggression and arrogance for decades against free peoples."
    Regarding the position of the government and political forces, Qaddo explained, “Al-Sudanese has skill in managing the current situation and is aware of its danger, especially with the recurrence of the American aggression against the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces,” stressing that “all forces support the option of removing the American forces because they are a source of threat to security and stability.”
    Iraqi factions are launching dozens of attacks on American bases in Iraq and Syria, and American officials admitted that these attacks occurred, but they said that the American forces present in Syria and Iraq responded to most of them, in addition to directing strikes in Iraq and Syria against sites that they said belonged to the factions.
    Washington has counted more than 100 attacks against its forces in Iraq and Syria since last October 17, some of which caused significant damage to the sites that were targeted.
    In addition to diplomatic personnel in Iraq, the United States has about 2,500 soldiers in Iraq on a mission that it says is aimed at providing advice and assistance to Iraqi forces.
